2010 Federal Pay Raise :
2 Percent Increase Moves Forward
December 9, 2009 - While legislators rejected President Obama's November 30 proposal to freeze locality pay next year, yesterday appropriators in the House and Senate approved an overall 2 percent 2010 federal pay raise. This would include a 1.5 percent nationwide increase in base pay and a 0.5 percent average increase in locality pay.
The 2010 federal pay increase would be effective after the Senate and House pass the 2010 omnibus appropriations bill.
Once any adjustments are finalized, the actual 2010 federal employee pay charts / tables -- with their locality adjustments for the General Schedule (GS) -- won't likely be issued until late December 2009.
My Federal Retirement will publish the 2010 federal pay charts when they are available.
