I'm partial to them myself... spent a LOT of hours in, under, on top of and listening to the B model.

Loud, cold, slow, no oxygen system, not pressurized, not pretty, no conveniences - but they surely could get up and down fast in a pinch.

Good ole Bookie. Glad to know somebody else appreciated her.

Over the years since outside of a couple hundred airmen, I find that mostly para and SF guys knew and cared too.

I'm really grateful to have had that experience.
