One great thing about our canned C-rats vs. these MRE thingies, is that in a final state of desperation, we could empty about 6 different kinds of main course C-rat cans into a steel pot helmet and with a little help with some things sent from home ( usually ethnic specialities such as Polish, Puerto-Rican, soul-food, Hispanic, white-trash, etc...) and make a darn good Mulligan's or Hobo's stew....all of ours turned out darn good..
