Some years ago, I had a seasoned staffer for a local congress person tell me, when I bitched about some of the dirty tricks that a few in government played, and I quote: “It’s all just politics?” What this staffer failed to realize, however, was that these political games eventually effects us all – rich and poor, black white or brown, young and old alike - and to us, it is rarely a game of thrones, but rather a matter of life and death, survival or starvation!” How dare any elected official, or anyone else for that matter, act so cavalierly with the lives, liberties and well-being of others! “If you cut us, do we not bleed?” Maybe it is time that we clean house – politically speaking!!

And something else that pisses me off no end are the attitudes that some of the staffers develop when their bosses are elected! We don’t elect these hired hands after all, as they are all (again in my opinion) just excess baggage! As such, they are not entitled to any special consideration, and certainly, they are not deserving of adulation, as they too, are living off of the public’s dime! Do your damn jobs people or Get the Hell out of Dodge - and maybe a few of their bosses should take a hike right along with them? Also, “The Legal Citizens of Our Great Nation” owe these elected politicians nothing, whereas, they owe the people themselves a debt of honor and of trust! People live or die, thrive or go bust after all, upon the actions of all politicians. And as such, we certainly do not owe them our limitless and unquestioning fealty or even the idol-worship that a scant few of them genuinely believe that they are due!
