Liberia
Was founded by Slaves who were sent back to Africa in 1847.
There has always been resentment between the ex-slaves and the native population.
The ex-slaves established a constitution similar to the United States. The ex-slaves have ruled Liberia since 1847. Over the years resentment has built up between the two factions.
The ex-slaves should have done a better job of intergrating the natives into the government. But, failed because they had the military might to put down the native population.
In the last twenty years or so the native population has become heavily armed and there has been a constant civil war going on since then. Its really been getting rough over there in Liberia right now.
LIBERIA means freedom.
Monrovia was named after President James Monroe of the United States.
Democracy doesn't work when its one sided.
