Excellent Videos!!!!
I also want to thank you for sending me the videos, dave. I watched the first 7 epsodes back to back, then the last 3 about a month later.
i thought the combat scenes and jump scenes were excellent--this is a real chronicle portrayed as accurately and dispassionately as you'll find.
I'd read the book before, several times, and liked it. I thought it was an accurate portrayal.
I esp thought the the shaky camera worked well--this denotes immediacy--as if the cameraman reaally was right there involved in the action. Think about the show COPS where the cameraman breathlessly chases the bad guys--think about the Blair Witch Project. this is artistic use of the camera for effect--it really makes you feel like your right there.What the videos also showed well was the chaos in combat--it is not always clear what to do, which way the fire's coming from--its all immediacy--boom, booom!!--images jump up in front of you, DOWN, run, jump,dive, fall, jump up again,fire,roll, run.
That was jst my impressions.
