Default A bombs of Japan: were they necessary??

even today still a hot button issue. and thru every generation since the events took place. but even back then there were arguments for not using them. generals Marshall and Eisenhower as well as others in the military argued against using them. citing the war was all but over and Japan was finished anyway. or were they??? the scientists who invented it petitioned Truman to not use them. citing a test firing to show the Japanese its awesome power. in war like this you use your best weapon. Japan, I think, was far from finished. the Kamikaze attacks against the 7th fleet off of Okinawa proved they were far from finished. and they readied civilians for the invasion of their homeland. including women and children. if we invade how many more die??? how long will the invasion last???? most vets, anyway will tell you they were grateful to truman for ending it and saving their lives. and their families grief.

Hiroshima

Nagasaki

im certain if these bombs had not been dropped a lot of us would never have been born. agruments comments????
