White House and Pentagon prepare for Trump to issue pardons in war-crimes cases, officials say

By issuing pardons in the cases against Army Maj. Mathew Golsteyn, former Chief Petty Officer Eddie Gallagher and former Army 1st Lt. Clint Lorance, President Donald Trump would effectively prevent the U.S. military from bringing the same charges against the men again.
