Hillary the Wannabee
Most of us Vietnam veterans have encountered more than our share of wannabees, those pathetic losers who peddle their fake stories about being in combat, earning awards, and strutting their stuff as war veterans. We see them as weaklings, losers, and liars, spouting their phony tales of heroism and dashing deeds of valor. They deserve nothing but our individual and collective contempt.
Now we have the former First Lady, Madame Hillary, replicating the very worst forms of behavior that we deplore in other wannabees. She has claimed on several occiations that when her C-17 landed in Kosovo, they had to dodge sniper fire, blah, blah, blah. Actual TV coverage proves her to be a liar, and a very lousy one at that. But she's a Clinton, so she's acting completely in character. Her back-peddling and hemmin' & hawin' are only designed to cover up her lies, not any form of admission that she lied. Like other pathological liars, they only apologize when they get caught, not for the lying itself.
She deserves nothing but our individual and collective contempt.
