What if... the ONLY kind of future warfare were to be guerrilla style?
Doesn't it seem to be headed that direction?
Thinking about it, war moved from internecine skirmishes (deadly at times) more or less familial or small-scale tribal, then armies/navys, then huge sophisticated ones on enormous battlefields, then vast divisions conquering lands hundreds of miles from home, then highly trained well-equipped forces meeting on discreet fields of battle, then bombardment of civilian populations, then what we have now...
