Ahh, Neil....
Leave government workers out of this. We pay into SS just like anyone else and our "special, privledged, etc" retirement is a 401K just like most other people. We have no Privledged special retirement program.....believe me. Now would I like to have a choice as to paying into SS or getting that money to invest as I please, yes I would. Do politicians get too good of a retirement and don't have to pay into SS....yes. But we government workers are no special class so kindly leave us out of this.
