Default January 2, 1492 - A major Historical DATE

Ferninand and Isabella's armies conquered Granada. The last Muslim city in Spain. The Muslim invasion of Western Europe had been stopped. All Muslims and even mixed blood Christians were made to leave Spain. This also opened the way for Spain to look West and expansion of its empire to the New World. In other words, if the Muslims had still controlled Spain, Columbus wouldn't have sailed. This Western World would look much differently than it does today. January 2, 1492 is one of those days which really shaped History. However, most school children in have no idea! It is politically incorrect to mention that one group of people exiled another group and its impact on history.
