Outpolls W by 81%

Sen. John Kerry is the runaway favorite of New York Democrats and also would
trounce President Bush here, a new poll showed yesterday.

The Quinnipiac University survey showed Bush, a Republican whose aides once
hoped could win New York on his post-9/11 popularity, getting pasted here,
with 88% saying they would vote for Kerry if the election were today. Only
7% said they would vote for Bush.
