Default Woodward, Bernstein, and Felt responsible for fall of Vietnam?

MSNBC analyst Pat Buchanan, nationally syndicated radio host Rush Limbaugh, and conservative author and TV personality Ben Stein suggested that, through their role in exposing the Watergate scandal, which resulted in the resignation of President Richard Nixon, newly disclosed "Deep Throat" W. Mark Felt and Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein were responsible for the fall of South Vietnam and the genocide in Cambodia that left approximately 1.7 million people dead.

This has been reported on MSNBC, NBC, CNN, FOX-NEWS and several other major networks.

I can not believe the Right-WingNuts have stooped this low!

I submit that Buchanan, Limbaugh and Stein are now the grand prize winners of the Dan Quayle Potatoe trophy. And we can retire that trophy now thank you very much.

The irrationality and hypocricy of the Rightwingnuts has never been in such stark contrast. These people have NO use for human life, the Constitution, or rule of law. They only worship tyranny by their "party", and blind obedience to the glorious leader.

The funny thing about these self-righteous conservatives: According to them, no Republican is ever wrong or guilty about anything! Every bad thing that ever happened in the world was done by Democrats!

If the facts don't fit their view, they just twist everything around. In their minds, they make Nixon the hero and his whistleblower the evildoer!

ANOTHER EXAMPLE: To them, Linda Tripp (who "ratted" on Clinton) is a hero, but Deep Throat (who "ratted" on Nixon) is a scoundrel!!

Nixon, who committed actual crimes, is innocent and Clinton, who was one of billions of men to commit adultery, is the devil! You can't have it both ways, you guys!

And why stop at only these examples of glaring hypocrisy.

Like ......"The issue before us is federal spending for stem cell research. I don't believe the Government should spend money on something which destroys life" (unless that life is in Iraq, adjacent to perceived WMD's....of which there were none.... tyrants);

or

Rushing back to photo opp signing legislation to spare one person in a permanent vegetative state - against her own wishes as presented by her husband and upheld in 15 separate court hearings - doing so based on reverence for life, when the same fraud had signed legislation a few years earlier in his "home state" allowing hospitals to pull plugs on people based on ability to pay.

or

Citing "Amnesty International" reports on pre-war Iraq to support war with Iraq, then disparaging "Amnesty International" reports when they decry the internment camp network set up to deal with the "Not-really-prisonsers-of-war"-detainees.

or

Blasting Clinton over a handful of bj's in the oval office, but ignoring a gay hooker with no journalistic expertise being given free press passage in and out of the Bush White House over a two year period.

or

Blasting Clinton over not copping to "inhaling" and "draft evasion," while passing li'l George W on booze (and other substances), and prolonged reservist absences following obvious string pulling to get the low scoring applicant into the reserves in the first place

or

Blasting Clinton over Whitewater, but staring blankly when the Harken Energy share sell-off is mentioned.

or

claiming that a 51-48 percentage point win is a mandate to radically re-form the country, while back pedaling and saying that poll numbers showing a 60-40 percent disapproval rating over the Iraq war means the country is 'evenly divided" on Bush foreign policy.

Every society in history has been well stocked with sycophantic followers who cannot abide true FREEDOM, and long for domination.

What makes America's Rightwingers so hard to understand is that America has made the realization of FREEDOM so clear and statutory, they have much more to tear down in order to install their preferred despotism. (Thank God!)

That we are allowing them to tear down our freedom and democracy, piece by piece, is to our everlasting shame. That the Rightwingnuts cannot abide freedom is just a shame in and of itself.

And those who abide by or accept these idiots as "spokesmen" for their so-called "cause" can count themselves as just as guilty as they are!

More later.
