Description:
(USA) James E. Bussey, originally from Childress, Texas and a graduate of Texas Tech University (BA, 1965; MA, 1970), served in the U.S. Army from 1968 until 1970. He went to Vietnam in January 1969 as a Communication Center Specialist with the Communications Center Platoon, A Co., 53rd Signal Battalion, II Field Forces Base Camp (Plantation Base Camp). James was an operator at TOC Communication Center and TRIC (Transmit Receive Interface Controller) Chief at the Main Communication Center. After his tour ended in January 1970, James went to Communications Center Company, East Coast Telcom Center, USAR Startcom, at Ft. Deterick, Maryland, where he retired from the U.S. Army in August 1970. Interview conducted by Richard B. Verrone, Ph.D.
