South Carolina Lt. Collapses At Scene

A Chesterfield Fire Department firefighter in South Carolina collapsed at a fire scene and died of the heart attack later at the Chesterfield General Hospital Thursday, April 22.
Lt. Bruce Rogers, 56, was moving toward the pumper at the scene of a multi-alarm fire that destroyed the town community center, when he collapsed. Paramedics on the scene worked on Rogers and transported him to the hospital where he was pronounce dead, according to Chaplain and Firefighter Phillip Caulder.
