Reminds me of a funny story. In another lifetime, I was a Park Ranger in a Park in SW Virginia. I was in during Nixon's presidency. The Park Superintendent was a ardent admirer of Nixon. He was annoyed with us because someone had brought a small TV to work so we could watch the Watergate Hearings.

At any rate, Nixon Resigned and Ford became President. I went to take down the photo of Nixon in the Visitor Center lobby. Our Super would not allow us to remove the portrait until we received a new one of President Ford, so for a week or so, we had a Former President hanging in the Visitor Center where only Presidents could hang.

Frankly, looking back on it, the whole thing was comical. But our illustrious boss just made it funnier by refusing to remove the Ex-President from the wall.
