The Bill (Honor Our Fallen Prisoner of War Act) was introduced and backed by many fine people (Patriots One And All)! "We all owe a vote of thanks to them (millions)!"
OH, and for the record, the Military Awards and Decorations Manual, 1348.33-M does [or will soon] cover the awarding of a Posthumous Purple Heart Medal to a surviving family member of those who died in enemy captivity from 7 December 1941 to the present from causes such as beatings, starvation, lack of medical care, torture, or exposure.
