Most of what I know about the "Whys and Wherefores" of the war I've learned from you guys on these forums. Have never read a book about the history of it. As an avid reader, maybe that's peculiar. I don't know. I guess I felt that I had SEEN and lived through the part of the war that was most important to me. Didn't feel the need to see "The Big Picture."
