The barrel price has a lot to do with the investors too.

The immediate solution to the "crunch," is nuclear. It's readily available, but people don't want it in their back yard, and understandably so.

The wind industry is trying to work its way into this area. But any energy created by the system, would go into the grid anyway. There would be no real local benefit to the power created.

So if we were to look at the alternatives, if the wind is calm and the wind turbine is doing nothing, that nuclear plant is still producing power. Which would you rather have? a nuclear plant that has a controlled type of fuel or a wind farm with no movement?
