Sailor re-enlists on 100-year anniversary of the first female Navy chief

Chief Petty Officer Kerris Taylor re-enlisted on her 20th year in the Navy. She was scheduled to re-enlist in October, but wanted to take the opportunity to recognize the first female Navy chief 100 years ago on March 25, 1917.
“Pretty big day for female chiefs all around the Navy and I wanted to take today to recognize the occasion,” said Taylor.
