A French Woman Needs Your Help
Hello to everybody,
I am a french woman of 38 years old and I need your help.
I am looking for my grandfather, he was an american officer during the World War II and he was in France in the base named Couvron near the city of Laon in 1944/1945.
I probably came from a city from the Michigan's Lake, he was fairhaired, had blue eyes, perhaps his firstname or nicknam was Patrick. I don't know his name, I don't know his rank, his division. Well I know nothing.
He met my grandmother in a ball in Remies, a little village near the base of Couvron. My grand other's name was Bernadette Mabilotte nicknamed Dedette.
He wanted to marry her but she refused, I don't know why !
He came back in USA in spring or summer 1945. He was still in Couvron in march 1945 because my mother was born the 27 th of december 1945. When he leaved France, he didn't know that my grandmother was pregnant. My grandmother diied in 1988 and always refused to tell us more about him.
