We have a guy here in Fayette County that I've heard is pretty famous for what he used to do. Now the guy is in the habit of eating at the Waffle House in town on Saturday morning and I've heard that he doesn't appreciate anyone pointing him out.
Now the guy has done a whole bunch of good for the area in kids services and such but he doesn't want any recognition for that either. Now I don't know much about this guys specialty and I've been known to "put 'em up" when the need arises but I know that I wouldn't want to go against this guy so I stay out of the Waffle House
Couple of years ago the guy went into obscurity and the only thing that made any news was that his wife had filed for a divorce and she wanted a good piece of him.
Now if you drive down Georgia 279 toward Jonesboro Rd. you'll see this place off to the west side of the road and it's kinda dramatic. There's one big building, grand in design, a slightly smaller warehouse looking building and a pretty nice house, I'd guess somewhere around 8 to 10 thousand square feet. When I first saw it I was test driving a car so I asked the salesman that was with me "what's that place?"
Seems the big building is a house but the house has a twenty car garage under it with three hydraulic lifts. The warehouse looking building in the rear is the gymnasium, and the 10,000 ft. house is the "guest house" (which the ex-wife got after the divorce along with $22 Million). All of this sits on around a hundred acres and has a guard gate at the end of the drive.
The guy made the news this morning. It seems that he's coming out of retirement and done good last night.
