![]() 31 years ago today, the Vietnam Nam War was declared over with the
signing of the Paris Peace Accords. It was a day I will never forget. I remember people riding around in their cars, blowing their horns. All our combat troops were coming home, all our POWs were going to be released, NVN would stay on its side of the DMZ and there would be peace in South Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Needless to say, it was a short-lived celebration, but a lesson in why, in war, there is no substitute for victory. Donna Long |
