This time around, however, it is UCLA, and not Berkley or Kent State, that is at the center of debate, but the ?Winds of War? still manage to stir the emotions of the Ivy Set, and rightfully so!

Back in the mid 60s, and early 70s, the ?Intelligentsia Crowd? was up in arms over the prospect of more casualties in the Vietnam War, and as such, an entire culture grew up around the draft and Southeast Asia. This was a mind-set that was not all that different, from that which existed within America shortly after World War I! ?How are ya gonna keep em down on the farm, and all that Twenty-Three Skidoo jazz? of bygone times!

Some of those college kids of the 60s, realizing that the sons and daughters of ?First World War Veterans?, were off to fight again in WWII [some 23 years later], were not really anxious to repeat their gallant father?s and grandfather?s performances. Now, however, some feel that they, like their dads who battled in the ?Nam?, will be off again to ?Strange and Exotic New Fire Fights?, half way around the world! Not so new actually, as we have (after all) been there-done that, before!

In a poll taken at UCLA recently, however, some 48% of the students asked, agreed with the President?s stance on Iraq! Of course, their responses now are but academic, as time and lead seem to alter a few perception! But still and all, that number of early-stage supporters is remarkable, especially when compared to Berkley in the sixth decade of the twentieth century! And any war in that neck of the woods [Middle East] may be fast, furious and short, considering the ominous fires of hell that we [USA] can bring to bear upon any enemy! I must therefore assume that this ?Saddam Cat must be dragging on the wrong weed!?? [Was that 60s enough?]

Well this isn?t the 60s, and Hussein is well known for his ongoing atrocities and pompous-ass attitude! This jerk [Saddam] is indeed the ?Mouth That Roared?, and an occasional bath now and then wouldn?t hurt him either! That, and a lesson in humility just might be the order of the day [SOON]!

I saw on the tube today where Hussein is again parading his prancing troops before the rolling cameras - a replay of what we all saw in 1990! But might I remind you Saddam, that your troops looked really grand marching into tiny Kuwait some 12 years back, but they ran like hell when they were driven out [like stampeding cattle], back in the direction from wence they came!

Oh, I forgot, you did [recently] tell your army to fight hard [this time], did you not. Well, Hussein, they will also ?Die Hard Too?, and upon your orders I might add! But if you are so damned concerned about their performance in combat, then might I suggest that you hop on your camel and personally lead the attack yourself! Come on ?Hero Hussein?, show the world what the hell you are really made of!

I don?t know how many American Indians will be in our front lines, but maybe they and the rest of the coalition, can treat you to a ?Good, Old Fashioned Wild Western Haircut?, scalp and all! And while they are at it, maybe they will lift that walrus-like mustache of yours too, upper lip and all!!

I saw the same thing last night. It's surprising that these kids today are a little more on the ball than those back in the 60's. It may be that they're off the weed!!!

Anyway I feel we shouldn't go in unless this government will not back down after 100 days. Media should be kept out of the kill zones so that the shock load factor doesn't have anyone getting alarmed.

The road from Quwait to Iraq was a pretty site. But that turned off the supporters and other's who couldn't take the blood bath.
War is war and people will die. There is no two ways about it.
If our government sends in troops they better have the green light to do the whole package. Shoot first and stay alive and blow all those mother's back into the sand pile they came from.

North Korea better get a good look because if they think we're intimindated by their Nuke program their nuts. They got pissed because they were told they were part of the Axia of Evil so now they are getting defensive. Great let's take them out once and for all too if they want to play hard ball.

Iran your next if you don't clean up your act. What hell they've been pushing the bottons for 10 years sticking this and that into our faces - well hell let's give them a few kicks in the ass to while we are overthere.

I'm tired of all this crap American's have been taking. STOP ALL MONIES TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES - COLD TURKEY!!!! Make them clean up their backyards and mend their fenses!!

We've never told any other country how to run their lives. Freedom and Liberty for all. NOT ANY MORE!! These rascals have been flipping us off for so long that we keep taking it.

Mr. President and Congress you've got to step up and be counted if we don't get this stuff under control then - HEY - You may need to get a job.

You say we can't fight on two fronts well hell call us guys 60 and younger back and we'll givem a fight they won't forget. We may not be as fast as we used to be but we go more ass-fighting in our blood streams that those little weasles have that's for sure.

Damn now I'm mad!!! Peace on Earth will only come about when these people are eliminated. Our troops must know they are going there to FINISH the job not just march around and become targets for these self liberated rag heads.
