![]() Just where do they get their "first" trial?
Well, hard one to answer, but I would say where the first murder took place. Surley the Judge would have the option of Death ( if allowed in the State) or Life in prison With No Chance O parole. They would be killed in prison by the inmates. WHY go to all the extra expense of taking these two cowardly bastar-- to so many courts and they will get the same sentense. They are more cowardly than a "cop killer" of which anyone know that watches the tube, the inmates (for some reason) hate Cop Killers. Is this trial/s gonna eat up more Tax Money that could be solved in just one court instead of Numerous courts? Like I said, They wouldnt last in Prison, not under protective custody either, cause the guards would make sure they dont. Pass the joint on down the line and WHAM!!!!! enough...... |

![]() According to some local press out here in Washington [the state] he killed a lady in Tacoma long before any killing in the east. He shot a golfer in AZ or New Mexico before he got to the east coast and then there is Mississippi killings that were before he got back east. So I guess they all got together and made a decision based upon the best chance for conviction and the death penalty. And, which jurisdiction could move the trial along the fastest. Splitting them up into two different counties hopefully will get them to testify against each other. However, each state has the right to try them if they don't like the outcome of the other courts. I hope it was the right decision.

![]() Reeb,
At present it looks like Virginia has first crack as they seem to have the best evidence and the death penalty and are seeking to have Malvo tried as an adult. According to what I understand, the Feds have dropped charges in favor of Virginia. Should, for any reason, Virginia fail to get the conviction they want I?m quite sure that there is a long line of other State prosecutors just itching to have a crack at those two. Despite what the media has been hollering about, I?m convinced that there has been good cooperation between the Feds and all States with issues. Personally, I?m pleased to know that Mohammed and Malvo will be in max security prison conditions for the rest of their lives. I have faith that our justice system will determine just how long that life will be. My gut feel and intuition tells me that their life expectancy is short, but we?ll see. Scamp |
