Smile It's Mother's Day

Just some thoughts.

My birth mother died when I was two days old from complications of childbirth. To make a long story short: my dad made arrangements with a close friend of the family, in their early fifties who owned a dairy farm, to take my brother and I home from the hospital until the family could figure out what to do with this emergency. I stayed with the Stovalls (Foster Parents) until I was 18 and went off to college. My Foster Mother never let me call her Mom, yet she was the only mother I ever knew. The Stovalls were a childless couple so my brother and I really were treated like family. Our Foster Parents loved us and took good care of us and occassionally whooped us when we needed it. They had an adopted Son who fought with the Seabees in WW II in the South Pacific. (He said, "there is only one thing braver than a Marine, a Seabee, they have to go in and clear a path so the Marines can land.") My Father would come out and visit the Farm a couple of times a week and paid for our "room and board". It was my Father who took me hunting and fishing, etc. I was so very fortunate to have Foster Parents who really loved and cared about me and a Father who also cared. But most of all I had a Mother who really loved me and cared about me until she passed away at the age of 87.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY ALL YOU MOTHERS!

To all our moms and wives......

Happy Mother's Day.......

Sempers,

A Gift For Mom
by, Max The Poet ?2000

Today, is a very special day,
And Mom, there's something,
I'd like to say.

Through the years,
You've watched me grow,
You've guided me,
And loved me, so.

Today, I am returning the love,
That you have shown to me,
Because, I love you so much, Mom,
You gave your love, abundantly.

As I write these special words,
I recall the many days,
When you would help me color,
And show your love, in many ways.

The toys you bought for me,
The pictures that you took,
All the things you did for me,
God, I could write a book.

That special hug, that only you could give,
That look in your eye, when you say my name,
For all of this, I am grateful,
My love for you, will always remain.

Oh, and Mom, I should really mention,
That no matter what or when,
I will be right here, loving you,
For, my love will never end.

So this gift, I send to you,
Today, on Mother's Day,
Because the words, "I love you",
Are words, I had to say.

To Our Wives

~You've created
something wonderful
in my life...
something beautiful...
Being with you
has given new meaning
to each day
we welcome together.
And, with you, I've found
something within...
a confidence, a strength
I never knew without you.
You are my inspiration,
my reason for happiness.
You are my wife...
And my joy forever.
Happy Mother's Day
with My Love Always!~

Post Mother

Mother

M is for the million things she gave me.
O means only that she's growing old.
T is for the tears she shed to save me.
H is for he heart of purest gold.
E is for he eyes with love-light shining.
R means right, and right she'll always be.

Put them all together they spell
MOTHER
A Word that means the world to me.

I want to put this on here, and orginally I think Theo put it on a couple of years ago.

Your Mom teaches you to Walk and Talk, and the next thing she says is, Sit down and Shut up.

I have always liked that one.

enough,

BUT::::: TO ALL YOU MOMS HAVE A HAPPY ONE ONE AND GOD BLESS YOUR KIDS, NO MATTER WHAT THEY GROWN UP TO BE....
