More Diplomatic Road Work

Secretary of State, Colin Powell, is out beating the hedgerows of France in an attempt to re-normalize relations between Uncle Sam and Cousin Pierre! And this promises to be no easy chore considering the guillotine that Jacques Chirac (and a few others) wielded in our directions during the latest Gulf War.

Of course, Chirac was not alone in his infamy, not by a long shot! The Russians and the Germans joined him in outright betrayal, while a myriad of other part-time pals sat on the sidelines and did (absolutely) nothing, except bitch up a tempest! Some of these very same laggards, however, were first in line when the time came to divvy up the crepes and crude!

With Powell referring to Franco-American Relations as excellent, I have to assume that during these diplomatic meetings, someone was smoking some strange stuff!? And after this artificial high evaporates, the hangovers of anger will come back with a vengeance. It?s like a busted nose, the pain eventually subsides but the damage will always be sorely visible!

I can guarantee you this, however, that no matter how much political ass-smooching goes on in Europe and elsewhere, in an attempt to gloss over the recent treachery, if nothing else, ?VERITE ET CONFIANCE? (Truth and Trust) have been bruised and battered. Not only by the Frogs, but also by the Ivans and the Adolphs! And all future relations, at least for some time, with these (and other) betrayers of trust, will be viewed with suspicion by many within the Coalition of The Honorable and Trusted Few! (opinion)

To put it as bluntly as I can, as things now stand, I wouldn?t wash my dog?s ass in French Champagne, let him urinate on the finest Russian Caviar, or blow his nose on the richest German Chocolate CAke ever made!

?To gain trust, you have to earn it, not burn it?, as a few of our erstwhile, tin-plated allies did in the last action in Iraq!!? And even though I have no doubts that relations (by necessity) will mellow out, the stench of these ?RAMERA CAMPANEROS? (Friendly Whores) will linger on like a bad dose of crabs!

Granted again, we had our magnificent and true allies with us during this latest confrontation! Nations like England, Spain, Australia etc., etc, are tried and true! But the actions of France, Germany, Russia, Canada, Mexico, and a few others, will ?NEVER? be totally forgotten of dismissed by many of the people of our nation, and those of our allies! For after all is said and done, a knife wound to the back leaves a lasting scar!!
