![]() While it may have been more a media event than a severe blow to the Al Queda, the capture of Usama bin Laden does not appear to be all that important. What was really important was the capture of the No. 2 or 3 man in their hierarchy; it was this guy was was the operational brains behind the terrorist attacks. Bin Laden might be the theological mind behind the group, but is less deadly than others. What the arrest of the No. 3 man proves is that this administration can fight terrorists while conducting large-scale offensive operations elsewhere, dumbfounding the Democratic critics, no difficult task.

![]() He was being discussed on one of the news shows and evidently Osama bin Laden is broke. He?s gone through his mega bucks and now must rely on donations. But I?m sure the bin Laden Co. will slip him a few meg from time-to-time. But on the other hand, the recent Al Qaeda attacks against Saudi civilians may have got him in serious trouble with those who would normally be sympathetic to his cause.
Most likely he?s hid out in northwest Pakistan and the various tribes are covering him. Not even the Pakistani Government troops go into that area so I?d guess it would be exceptionally difficult to go in and grab him up. But there are some kinds of ordinance that don?t have to hit that close to be the end of the line for anyone in the area. As has been stated he?s more of a philosophical leader than a military commander type so if we keep picking off his top people he?ll just end up talking and not being able to do much. When Afghanistan went down, he lost a lot of credibility because he was the one guaranteeing the Taliban leadership that could never, ever happen. Scamp |

![]() From the "Not everything is what it seems" and "They don't tell us everything" departments, I would bet a large chunk of change that there are still people out there that have the primary objective of seeking him out. I would also bet that it's almost a given that they are trying to make him slip his guard down and get confortable so he slips up and is found.

![]() Here's one that will blow your mind. The reader's digest just came out with an article telling the connection of Saudi Arabia to the Taliban, Hamas and other terrorists groups.

I read the same article in RD around last week. I didn't know that about Fahd's health--who knows what'll erupt when he kicks the bucket? |
