Default Opion/Poll or whatever

I was just on another site, and they showed the design for the replacement of the Twin Towers.

Do you think there should be anything erected on that site?

I think it should be "Hollow Ground " and let the ones rest in peace that werent ever recovered.

enough.......

As a native New Yorker, I say its best that they rebiuld em. I also think that they should have a memorial erected to those who lost thier lives on September the 11th.

I also like that suggestion that im sure many people have seen online.
its the twin towers in the form of the middle finger...i think that says it all.

i have seen the designes purposed for the replacement of the twin towers and they are disgraceful. not only do these people have no taste at all, but they are ugly also. i saw a design in the form of a garden. how idiotic is that? a garden? where people lost thier lives? thats nasty

just my opinion...

Well I think they need to tread lightly. That place is a sacred place that should never be forgotten. I know alot of the families of those who were murdered don't want anything built where the twin towers stood, I don't blame em a bit. Sometimes things need to be sacraficed(office space) to do whats right. That is a cemetery for alot of folks and we should never forget that it is.

Here is a pic of what they want to build:

Tough question. To not rebuild means the murderers won. To build something tacky looking means we lost our soul. I would go for a nice park a memorial and a museum building.

When Hollowed Ground is worth Billions $ it become less hollowed. No less to the people and there families but much less to the owner of the land. Rebuild they will, most likley with a small memorial sight.

Default RRRRRR!!!

As previously said, to some, it's a piece of Real Estate, to others, it's HALLOWED ground. But whatever, here's hoping they'll put something on it that will please some folks, cause as you know, no one can please all!!!!!!!

Methinks they chose the best architect from among their finalists... me also thinks NYC HAD to rebuild on that site just for economics alone... opening up the previously blocked off streets around there is gonna make Manhattan more livable... but, for my own personal soul I'd have been much happier if they'd have left those two huge blue lights shining up into the sky and put a museum, park, fountain, grass, trees, sitting areas, chess/checker tables with maybe a few smallish stores around the edges and a nice elegant entryway into the train/subway systems... what the hell do I know :-)

To some it's hallowed, to some it's real estate... but it does have a meaning to every American: the site itself is a reminder that we are vulnerable and that the actions of a few can put us down. What is appropriate is a symbol that we can't be kept down. I don't think a park built as a place of mourning or some big glass tower immortalizing an attack on our soil is appropriate. Let's take the exact same plans that the towers were built with decades ago... and build them again.

Post Brad,

I like your idea, but. This time make them strong enough to sustain an attack by an airplane. Those buildings shouldn't have collapsed! But build them again in the same spot to show those terrorists that you can't do that to us.
