TAKE NOTE: This commentary/thread was first posted in June 2003. Was brought back up due news this morning (July 13, 2004) about: "NON-EXISTENT WMDs".

Being thoroughly disgusted with people playing politics with My/Our survival, I thought that maybe the following letter to a couple of newspapers might help let-off a little steam,...plus let some patriots on patriotfiles.com chime-in and also let-off-steam.


My 2 Cents on WMDs

Lately, one can't help notice that so many American Officials, Party Leaders and/or career politicians pontificate quite similarly as their French, German, Russian and UN counterparts, and especially about Weapons of Mass Destruction. Except for accents, it's truly hard distinguishing one from the other.

Thusly, I would suggest that religiously devout, connected and/or beholding American Followers of such political oneupsmanship above all else types, start quite differently thinking for themselves about WMD's. After all, and whether Republican/Conservative or Democrat/Liberal/Socialist, we're talking about devastatingly lethal stuff here that doesn't differentiate between whatever political bent it kills. Besides, all Americans are at risk, and even those way-to-young to vote.

Granted, as an American Veteran it's only natural concluding that My Government, The Military and Military Intelligence are infinitely more believable and trustworthy than foreign enemies, enemy collaborators like the purposefully deceptive French, Germans, Russians, UN, and even some like-minded American Leftists. Guess such could be called that old common sense and "Duty, Honor, Country" thing VS. that politically winning power and control AT ANY COST thing?

Plus, apparently having a better memory than most also sort-of validates my way of thinking. I so state, since as to WMD's, doesn't anyone else remember a very important fact? Such being that The French, Germans, Russians and UN Officials (some American nay-sayers also) held-off the inevitable war with Iraq for AN ADDITIONAL 2-3 months more.

The point being made here is that if I had as many powerful friends and collaborators as Iraq, and was also gifted: "AN ADDITIONAL 2-3 months more" to make arrangements,...I could have easily hidden The Empire State Building in Antarctica, and probably even The Brooklyn Bridge to-boot.

Still, and even though Iraq is a large country and: "Like looking for needles in a hay stack", one hopes that most WMD's are eventually found there. Though, I wouldn't shrug-off also looking for WMD's under The Eiffel Tower, in Germany and Russia, or even under some palace in Damascus. After all,...seems sensible and logical also.

The Clinton administarion, the UN and our Congress said, in 91 that there were WOMD, Irag said they got ride of them but declined to say how or where. Personally, I don't care if they find any, doesn't matter to me, What matters is what Irag will become and how will this affects Americans.
Now Iran wants to be a nuculer power with the help of the Russians. When Iran gets it built we should send in a cruze missle and let them start over, and over, and over. To hell with what the UN or Russia or Germany or France says or wants.
I see North Korea haveing there ass kicked next anyway. Not by us eather, by Japan.

Thanks for the compliment. Though, if local papers CHOOSE to print same, and after The Censors and/or Editors sanitize same (not reverent enough to lords, as is preferred), I'm fairly sure that neither you or Philly would recognize same. Hell, by the time censors get done with me,...I don't even recognize my own stuff.

But, as usual, my mouth (fingers also) go into full drive long before my mind actually gets into gear.

I'm referring to hidden WMD's and my ending sentence: "After all,...seems sensible and logical also". Well, and even though true, I left-out the most sensible and logical place of all to look for the illusive WMD's (well to me anyway).

Hey,...where better than Saudi Arabia? No Americans would think of or even dare looking there, since: "WORLD's GREATEST CON-ARTISTS" (article title) are theoretically our good friends and staunch allies. Yeah sure,...and I'm The Tooth Fairy.

Besides, Saudi Arabia and/or The Arabian Peninsula covers such a great expanse of a hostile environement and desert, that most things take hundreds, if not thousands of years to find there. The Perfect Hidding Place FOR ANYTHING. Plus, friendly Saudis can keep secrets well and BS or waltz-The-West-around better than most, and even The UN. After all, The Saudis have been waltzing-us-around FOR OVER 50 YEARS. They're good!!!

I believe that anyone who has given this WMD situation some objective thought believes that at least France and Russia are in someway complicit in getting all those WMD stocks tucked away somewhere. It is probably bad form to go hollering about it right now, so I think your mention of the possibility is just about right. As well I think your treatment of the ?we?re all in the same boat? concept is spot on. Right now the focus is on some concept that Bush screwed up, etc., and not on an infinitely more relevant thought that asks the question ?what now?? I get the sick feeling that tacking Bush?s wet hide on the demo barn door is the important issue and what happened to all the mean poison is a ?so what, who cares? issue in comparison. Good work.
