Default Hi-need a little info (9th Div)
Hi everyone- I'm back for awhile. For a while I thought the site was down. I have been in and about. same stuff "ya know" having two sons in Iraq at the same time kind of stress You out. So when 1st Armor extended the tour there
I just faded away He should be back in Germany on 15-18 July. Mortardude
thanks for checking on me. Anyone know of anyone that was with 9th Div.
A-10th cav recon in Nam? Let me know have a friend that is looking for members of that unit. I'll be in touch.

Welcome back Top , God bless your sons. I have met some guys from my platoon , 2nd Plt , C Troop 3/5 Cavalry , through their web site. Bet the 10th has a web site somewhere.

Hey Coup , welcome home and welcome here. Always good to have another Cav. Trooper around. 3/5 Cav came over with the 9th ID but was sent up to the DMZ right before Tet 68 and we stayed there assigned to who ever would have us

Default 9th Inf Div
To my knowledge, there was no 10th Cav in the 9th Inf Div. The original TO&E had the 3rd Squadron, 5th Cavalry (LT's alma mater) as the divisional cav unit. The division was leg heavy, with only two battalions of mechanized infantry out of 9 infantry battalions. I had the distinct honor of serving in the 2-47th Inf (Mech) throughout my entire first tour. Samatteroffact, we're having a reunion of 47th Infantry Regiment alumni at Ft. Benning, next April. For those interested, pm me, and I'll shoot you some info. Or you can click on
