Saving Kerry.

The Pope is touring Galveston, Texas during his last visit to the United States and is being driven along the seawall in his "Popemobile" when he is horrified to see Sen. John Kerry in the jaws of a large shark. Just then a speedboat rushes in and the two occupants of the boat go to work. G.W. Bush fires a harpoon into the shark while Dick Cheney wrests Kerry from the jaws of the shark. After pulling Kerry aboard they both proceed to beat the shark to death with baseball bats. The Pope on seeing this yells out to the occupants of the boat. "I'm so glad to see that you all have finally laid your differences to rest and are getting along." He then continues on his way. Bush looks at Cheney and says "Who was that feller Dick?" and Cheney responds, "George....that was the Pope. He is God's representative here on earth and knows all there is to know about religion." Bush replies, "Well Dick, he may know all there is to know about religion, but he sure doesn't know squat about fishin'......................how's our bait holdin' up?"

Like they say, "Truth is often times stranger than fiction",...and this time even funnier-than-hell.

Still, I always thought that sharks were much wiser and much more discriminating,...and couldn't be so easily taken-in by such a poor excuse for bait? Guess, I just don't know that much about non-political sharks or real sharks, after all?
