Angry Some Things Never Seem Change!

The words of ?His VA Majesty, Tony Principi (VA Secretary)? (when he first took office), still ring out in my ears, like most hollow political promises over the years!

Oh how the veterans would benefit from his reign! Well Tony, here is yet another problem for you to resolve. This incident took place last night, at one of your premier facilities here in the Southland!

A friend of mine, a young kid of 26 is currently serving in the U.S. Navy. As a matter of fact, he has been for some 6 or so years. And during this time, he like many of you has pulled a great deal of Sea Time, in some pretty dicey places!

A while back, this friend (a Petty Officer) brought his mother out from New Mexico to help him take care of his young daughter while he was on duty. For the record, his mom is also an Honorably Discharged veteran of the Army and a nurse I believe - a really great gal!

Well, last evening, the lady began to bleed heavily, and her son in the Navy rushed her to the VA Hospital. The Navy kid and his mother sat there for about 3 or so and were never seen, even with her hemorrhaging badly, or so I was told.

According to the story related to me, there were about 12 veterans waiting to be seen at that time. As a matter of fact, one old vet had an EKG done at about 6:30 P.M., and as of 10:30 P.M., the guy was still waiting to have the EKG read!

Now, adding insult to misery, as one of the VA doctors and an intern walked by the waiting patients, the doctor crassly said, and I quote: ?There must be a full moon out somewhere tonight (A really funny guy!?)!? At this, several of the veterans got up and departed unseen, and disgusted! ?So what else is new, except the billion$ in tax dollars that a grateful public pays the VA to take care of our aging and appreciated veterans!!!!?

It has been many years since I was seen at any VA, and I had frequented quite a few across the nation some time. Upon hearing this however, it was reassuring to know that some things never seem to change, especially within the Veterans Administration!!!?

?WHEN WILL WE, OR RATHER OUR TWO PREMIER POLITICAL PARTIES, EVER LEARN, AND MATCH THEIR PROMISES WITH GENUINE DEEDS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS!?? (OPINION)

VERITAS
