Report says number of U.S. poor up 1.1 million

WASHINGTON - Even with the robust economy that was adding jobs last year, the number of Americans who fell into poverty rose to 37 million - up 1.1 million from 2003 - according to Census Bureau figures released yesterday. This marks the fourth straight increase in the government's annual poverty measure. The Census Bureau also said household income remained flat, and that the number of people without health insurance edged up by about 800,000 to 45.8 million people.

The stinking rich still wallow about in supreme affluence and ecstasy, with no thought or concern for those whom they consider below their dignity, and will not be satisfied until they own every last penny in circulation! While for the first time in U.S. History (to my knowledge), a war has not bolstered the economy, but rather slaughtered what is left of it! This, of course, minus the vast portions of our survivability that have already been pirated away by foreign entities and oil company predators, foreign and domestic alike (opinion)!!

Some years back (1995 to be exact), I wondered why a copyrighted book that I wrote (CIVILUTION) was not published, but rather scared the pants off of the powers that be? After all, the book was just pure fiction on the order of George Orwell?s 1984. ?Well, at least it was fiction back then!!?

With our economy not far from total ruin, billions being spent on a war that may have no end, gasoline prices at record highs and climbing without any end in sight, the nation has been nearly brought to its knees and divided into factions!

A - Those making vast fortunes from the blood, sweat and tears of others.

B - Those doing the suffering in silence (for now), and

C - Those who are too damned stupid or apathetic to smell the decaying flesh, morality, dignity, and ethics shot to Hell, that permeates the air all about them!

As a matter of fact, we are witnessing a resurgence of the old Billie the Kid and Dillenger syndrome, in which lying and cheating, as well as the money and blood hungry scum that feast off these traits, are idolized and promoted to near stardom or sainthood!

Ah, but not to worry! We will rise again from the ashes (maybe), become stronger than we were before we fell asleep on our feet (maybe), and as we did after the Revolution (the first one), the Civil War, and even World War II, we will soar to new heights (Yuk, Yuk)!

?Man, wake up and see what in the Hell is going on around you!? You (most of you anyway) remind me of that guy standing on the receded beach of Indonesia, shortly after the big earthquake!

He too waited far too long to get a move on, until, looking back over his shoulders, he was engulfed and drowned by a huge torrent of water, traveling at over 60 miles per hour. What may be fast overtaking you, however, is traveling far faster than any tsunami, and it sure as Hell ain?t made up of water either!

?Is this what you really want - A society, or what is left of it, comprised of but three factions!?

1 - The super rich and all-powerful, under who?s control you will become naught but the working poor?

2 - The Les Miserables who expire faster that our surviving WWII Veterans (1000 plus a day), imprisoned within a fenceless gulag of despair, hunger, unemployment and hopelessness or

3 - Military service from birth to death, an ant-like society that moves, and thinks only on command!

I know that many of you think that this can never happen here in the United States, but then, the British and Napoleonic Empires, the Soviets as well as the gold and diamond-rich South Africans, the militaristic Nazis, and even the oil rich Middle Easterners, also (once) considered themselves eternal and unbeatable!

The only ones in today?s international society (in my opinion) who fit this descriptive are the liars, users, me-ists, and the soulless cretins who infest many a seat of power!!
