"SAN DIEGO - Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham, an eight-term congressman and hotshot Vietnam War fighter jock, pleaded guilty to graft and tearfully resigned Monday, admitting he took $2.4 million in bribes mostly from defense contractors in exchange for government business and other favors.
Cunningham, a swaggering former flying ace with the Navy during the Vietnam War, was known on Capitol Hill for his interest in defense issues and his occasional outbursts.
In court documents, prosecutors said Cunningham admitted receiving at least $2.4 million in bribes paid in a variety of forms, including checks totaling over $1 million, cash, antiques, rugs, furniture, yacht club fees and vacations...."

Well, there's not much more satisfying then watching another corrupt Republican Thug Congressman admitting his guilt and crying his eyes out for the lost rest of his life. Hopefully he'll die in prison after several years of a "meaningful relatiionship" Wiith a 300 lb cellmate named Booty BAndit. Few ever deserved it more than Cunningham . Here's one Republican that played up his military record worse than Kerry ever did. He used the forum it gave him to attackk every opponent he ever had. LETS hope this man who so thought his shit doesn't stink gets his fudge packed every day!!
Cunningham has been so vitriolic to every one that wasn't on the Republican Corruptiion Bandwagon that seeing him shuffling off to jail is like a warm fuzzy--kind of puts a bright spot inn the day, a song in ones heart and a smile on the face: A general feeliing that there is a God and he likes America after all
ITS Lots of fun watching the wheels fall off the Repubblican Corruption Machine and the season's only starting. Cunningham has promised to start ratting on his fellow Republican Ripoff artists. Its always fun to watch these rats start squealing on each other. The cost of Republican bribes has gone way up since Spro Agnew sold out his country for a fur coat for his wife--now its cars, houses, MILLIONS!!
And the republicans are up to it neck deep. This gives us another way to Delay (ANd others.) We got crybaby Duke ratting his corrupt little heart out, we got the Abramoff scandal perking in the background. We got Delay facing corruption charges already and SCANLon, one of his former aides already flipping. We got Frist facing insider trading charges.

PS------------I think one of the best things we could do now is limit our acknowledging the existence of Ann Coulter! The woman is either totally batshit crazy or using the pose to make herself a name and get rich, or perhaps some of both. Either way, she?s despicable, and I mean that in the truest sense of the word.

That said, Cunningham is at least as despicable if not more so. Abramoff and Scanlon are perhaps the most greedy, sneaky, heartless jerks since Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling. And anyone who truly believes that all these close associates of DeLay did all this crap without any knowledge of or support by DeLay himself is delusional. I think he?s just been a bit more careful and is better shielded. But, it's gonna catch up with HIM also! Here?s hoping this bunch starts flipping like fresh-caught fish (mullet or slimey catfish?you know, bottom-feeders) and we get to watch these "New" Republicans start devouring each other as our holiday entertainment.-------------

When a young person pulls a stunt like this, they may live long enough to redeem themselves by good or even heroic deeds, but someone as old as Cunningham who performed heroic deeds when he was younger has just trashed the last chapters of his life.

Greed knows no political distinctions, I think this administration still has about 9 indictments to go to catch up to the Clinton era. Course, there is still time.

Obviously Coulter's comment is taken out of context. She's sick of the "Happy Holidays" PC crowd. So what she was saying is that saying Merry Christmas is like saying Fuck you to the PC crowd. She did not equate saying Merry Christmas is the same as saying Fuck You in the general sense. I am proud to say, MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone that says, or in some stores are forced to say, HAPPY HOLIDAYS! What's funny is that the PC crowd doesn't even know that HAPPY HOLIDAYS is taken from HAPPY HOLY DAYS. Look it up if you don't believe me.
