The U.S. law prohibits price-fixing. OPEC manipulated the oil price, driving it to 50 times above the cost oil extraction cost. Oil is more profitable than heroin.
The OPEC members use oil proceeds to fund religious fundamentalists who incite against America.
We prosecute foreign drug cartels which violate the U.S. law without entering the country. We can similarly do away with the OPEC

Wouldn't We be outlawing OURSELVES?

After all, no one forces American Oil Companies to EXPORT OIL (America large oil exporter) exploited from The People's Land, or domestically sell oil products here at home at OPEC Prices (now about $75 a barrel).

Such is automatically done here, and quite factual that all Arab Oil Exporters (Nigeria & Venezuela also) INSTEAD give their citizenries a good break on their oil products.
Whereas, America another OIL EXPORTER,...CERTAINLY DOES NOT.

So,...what point is there to outlawing OPEC?
For all intent and purpose,...We Are OPEC and reap similarly vast riches from The Consumer of all oil products.

Want to outlaw anything?
Outlaw perpetual governmental and oil company collusions,...meant specifically for gleaning as much monies as are possible from The People's (of whatever country) VERY OWN NATIONAL RESOURCES.

Besides,...BOTH governments (with Excess Profits Taxes - America 47%) and Oil Barons reap vast $um$ from OPEC Pricings. So, why on earth expect such to ever change such a good deal...FOR "THEMSELVES". Also, governments and politicians make policies. The People never do.

A quite lordly and sick situation, for sure.
But, as honestly as what I can come up with or reasonably determine.
