Don't think I obyed any of those nine rules. Maybe rule 8 I didn't exploit. Most of the time I just tried to avoid the locals. My 1st tour in Nam my unit provided MACV with intel my unit was the 525th MI GP, wore the MACV patch.

Man oh man is that card a flashback? Where the heck did you find it? I got one of those in the 1st Log and it's probably still there. Don't think I gave it any regard after Tet though.

By 69' these were given out to everyone. I got one at Long Binh when first got in country along with Geneva Convention and some other thing. Still have them, somewhere but not sure where. If y'all look on the right side of the card at the bottom it says that distribution is one to every member of the US Armed Forces.

Use to have my MACV ration card from my first tour, but forget where I put it. I'll probably come across it someday.

That was it Bob....the Ration Card. The one that said I was old enough to kill someone with an e-tool, bayonet, and bullet, but not old enough to have a drink of wine or whiskey. Idiots.

Default We don't gots no steenking Ration Card

Who needs a ration card when you got caliber?
As a MACV Lrrp, the MACV patch was ours but nobody I knew ever wore it, self included. Why wear that as yr combat patch when you could wear the 101st or 173d patch as most of us could.
"Always give the Vietnamese the right of way?"
Hahahahahahahaha--you mean we were supposed to do that?

James,

When I left the Cav and went with MACV and the Koreans, I was "supposed" to wear the MACV on right sleeve when I came back with dress uniform. No way when I had a big bright yellow one. Nothing against MACV....but I was much prouder of my Cav Patch.

I can't believe you didn't give the Vietnamese the "right of way". Why you insensitive line dog!
