Question Chris

Where, on the ship was the soda machine that was "lost to the ocean". I didn't find any history on that event.

Stay healthy,
Andy

Default Chris...

Great pics, thanks for the address. DD?s, the work horses of the VN War and never a dull moment. In all likelihood the USS Black was either ahead of aft of when we went on a pick a fight/raid north of the 17th parallel. We usually had four or five destroyers with us and could really lay down some serious fire and get some back in return, but not a lot. My favorite home ship at the time was the USS Canberra and it has a web site as well called www.usscanberra.com. So if anyone is curious what a VN task force looked like, it would be a Cruiser like the USS Canberra and five Destroyers like the USS Black, all in a line, steaming hard and coming on fast. Hmm, memories I guess.
