Canned food

I was so happy when the LRRP rations came out. Canned food is heavy and what do you do with the cans?
With LRRPs you could just keep walking. Open a small hole in one end, Pour in some water, close it back up and in a 1/2 hour it would be ready to eat.
The more times you went for a walk the less you carried. A hammock was always carried by me.

I heard they were good but never saw a LRRP ration the whole time I was there. Had two guys KIA trying to trade some junk for a couple of them.
