4th Generation Warfare

There are some interesting points brought up: The Marine Corps saw this coming in the 90s and adapted training for it. The other services balked at it and did nothing. The only other high ranking general who agreed with the Commandants was the Army COS, Gen. Shenseki. He got nowhere, the article states, because of entrenched colonels who wanted to perpetuate the idea of confronting the enemy as in past conflicts and not upseting the time honored relationship among Congress, military and industrial interests. Is that just another way of saying, "Don't rock the boat until I get that star."? ----------------- |
