When will they ever learn?

I was astounded to see that Jane Fonda is back in the eye of the shit-storm. For reasons that are not at all clear she?s gotten herself involved in the Israeli-Palestinian situation and had to endure a demonstration against herself. The Israeli demonstrators were calling her a Traitor and saying words to the affect that she betrayed America and now wants to betray Israel. As all this took place in Israel, I highly question her sanity and why she would want to go through the grinder all over again and put herself in such harm's way. I?m no big pal of Jane Fonda but for crying out loud, she?s well into her 60?s now and I?d just as soon she stand down and not get squashed like a bug by things she obviously knows nothing of.

At the same time I see that Sean Penn allowed himself to get duped by Saddam?s propaganda machine and regardless of any good intentions he may have, he just may catch the torch from Jane as she goes under the steam roller of the middle-east. What am I missing here? Do these people not understand that memories are long and that they bring nothing at all to the table of the human condition besides some alleged art form? Do they not understand that the game is played much differently over there and if they get in the middle of some wrong dynamics, they are going down regardless of any self-perception of importance and value? In terms of what they are getting themselves into, I have to assume they both have chilly room temperature IQ?s or are absolutely clueless beyond the lights, camera, and action deal. I?ll not worry about either one, but sometimes my need to understand crazy stuff gets me going.

It seems to me that they have been living in a fantasy world for most of their lives and now they can't distinguish from reality anymore. What surprises me is that some folks actually listen to them. They are only actors/actresses after all, not foreign policy experts. They actually think they have some sort of influence in this area.

Drywall, I think the Hollywood types did have some input during Clinton's administration.

I think they're so egocentric that they believe their opinions transcend their ages and that they can actually direct the policies of this country. (Think not only Jane Fonda, but Warren Beatty, Babs Streisand, and Ed Asner, to name a few). Sean Penn is merely one of the slimy newcomers trying to take over for the older ones.

A friend told me that he heard one of them - I can't remember which one - state that because they're entertainers they have to be smarter than the rest of us. They therefore have a greater knowledge and understanding of how the world functions, so they are not only qualified but have a duty to inform and advise those of us who aren't so fortunate to be entertainers.

Many of these types are also anti-gun fanatics, but the rules and laws they want enacted would not apply to them because they are more important than the average citizen. (Rosie O'Donnell is a prime example of this train of thought.)

Once again, our beloved media outlets fawn over anything these idiots say and do.

I have two words for most of the media: A verb and a pronoun.

I think the same thing goes for the talking heads on the news. All they do is read it and think that makes them experts. I don't think a one of them ever had an original thought.

Regarding pompous and all-knowing Hollywood Stars, it seems to me that The American Public has a lot of ketchin-up to do with the apparently more astute Israelis (American Veterans inclusive).

After all, many Americans (Veterans excluded) still actually believe what comes out of the mouths of Jane Fonda types and/or Hollywood fools, hypocrits and dupes,...whom always propagate (and God only knows why) that the enemy is actually The Good Guy, and that America is The Bad Guy. Plus, many Americans have been sucked-in by this enemy-friendly Hollywood nonsense
for decades.

Whereas, "The apparently more astute Israelis (American Veterans inclusive)",...have and do see through such enemy-friendly and/or treasonable propaganda or BS in minutes, if not seconds.

So, and especially since the aftermath of: "9/11", I guess it's fair saying that there are still a lot of Americans out there, that just simply don't have their heads screwed-on-straight. Also and unfortunately, that there are so many in The Press/Media that pretty-much encourage such dribble and nonsense be propagated to The Public,...doesn't make things any better

Maybe when we get hit (hopefully not) with bigger and better things than airplanes, The Pompous Fools of Hollywood might start spouting a different story? But then, the questions arises: "Who-the-hell is going to be around to hear the story"?

Sorry about the sad scenario that might change the mindset of some Hollywood Fools. But, I honestly believe that something must truly be drastic,...before any duped and wild-eyed political fanatics will actually change their minds about ANYTHING.

Penn said he didn't see anything! What does he know what to look for? Jeez I wish these bone heads would stay home. I'll have to add him to my list of things not to watch anymore.

As for JF you would think she would have warned him about the feed back he's goin get for pulling this stunt. All it does is makes them controversial and this will remain in the people's minds as did JF in VN.

What makes them do this? Are they running for office or acting as a diversion? Regardless they don't belong there and the government should have put a stop to this type of travel.

JF (I won't say her name) is a joke and I'm glad she got the reception she deserved. Penn is an ass who can't take care of his own life, cite: his arrest record.

Last night I got very angry, something that doesn't often happen when watching TV, regardless of how mindless the person is. Ed Asner (of the old Mary Tyler More TV show) was on Fox. That SOB actually said that Pol Pot came to power in Cambodia because the US bombed Cambodia, thus we were responsible for all the death in Cambodia during the 70s.

I have never heard such utter bull on TV, not even when listening to Al Sharpton! May Asner die a slow and painful death while a nurse reads to him the biography of Ron Reagan and Ollie North.
