My , ahem, first husband's father was a tank instructor during Korea. He was one scary SOB. But he did teach me a whole heck of a lot about horses. I've often wondered how that translated (tanks to horses). I think that is why his son decided to join the Air Force instead of the Army.

BLUEHAWK,

The 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment was activated on 20 July 1942 at Mount Currahee, Camp Toccoa, Georgia, as part of the newly formed 101st Airborne Division. Currahee is a Cherokee Indian word meaning "Stands Alone," a phrase which later became the Regiment's motto.
