I have an idea...

Whenever one of our sailors has a birthday, we oughta do something special.

We could get together and do that Navy "Neptune" thing that they do for sailors crossing the equator for the first time!

Thanks for the wishes and thoughts Dragon Lady and all, I appreciate the birthday thought.

Hey, great idea Steve, I like it. But one bit of a snag with the deal. Ya see according to the prescribed and anointed laws and statutes of Neptune?s Kingdom, only ?Shellbacks? can initiate ?Pollywogs? into the Kingdom. But the good news is that one doesn?t have to be Fleet Sailor or a Guy to be a Pollywog so it?s an equal opportunity situation. Now, it appears that my Sailor colleagues here are Shellbacks and ya?ll and all seem to be Pollywogs so that would set the initiation agenda and protocol. I think Boats could excellently and properly represent King Neptune?s wishes, Reeb could be the all important Royal Scribe, Chris would be an excellent Royal Baby; to whom much deference, bowing and scraping is required and paid, and I will sign up to be the Royal Barber and keeper of the Royal Bath. Ya see ya?ll and all must look proper and well scrubbed before being presented to the Royal Family and staff; they have a thing about that ya see. So we?re good to go I guess, LOL.

And Tom, nope, no biking up Kingsbury this time of year for me, yikes!!!!. I would have to flat track my BMW the whole distance; all laid over and back steering, and at around 10 degrees F, I would most likely be a frozen solid critter and a snow pile human dart in just a short distance. I?ll leave that crazy stuff to the Californians who come here to temp fate and luck, LOL.

Sure, I?m up to bat for dinner so maybe you pick a spot in your area this time. The new love of me life will love San Francisco but reckons us VN Vets are all prickly growl bears. Now where in the world do think she could ever get that impression? Hmm, tis a mystery to me for sure, ha. So maybe I get some support with helping her through her crazy notions about us not being proper genamens eh.
