Default It wasn't my Fault.

The devil made me do it. I was driving back from Psyco Mountain today and all of a sudden my truck made a sudden right turn into where I had purchased my ATV. They also are a Kawasaki Motorcycle dealer. I bought a Vulcan 1500 cruiser, shaft drive windshield, bags 9,999.03. Supposed to be ready for pickup on Saturday but we should have a hurricane visiting by then.

I let my son talk me out of the Harley for a while, which I didn't miss because John had been unable to ride for almost a year. But now he is OK and I haven't been riding. I think we will go visit Frank in a couple of weeks. then hop on over and see Danny (White Oak).

Talking Sid,

Sid,

I failed you. All that counseling and you went out and bought a motorcycle!

I tried to help you, but to no avail.

You just can't go on saying, "it wasn't my fault."
You were suppose to drive another route, but no you had to tempt yourself. My credibility is going down fast as a therapist.

Keith

P.S. Have fun and be careful!

Default Keith, I could have been mistaken

Maybe it was the big guy above that made me do it. Someone has to watch over John.

39, I looked at the 2000 but with accessories it was another 6K for 500 cc. I figure I can get a ticket just as easy on the 1500.

Think it was the year after the 1500 Vulcan came out that I had a windfall and I decided I was gonna go on down there and buy one.Seemed like the only decent thing to do seein as the boys down there had been haven ta clean my drool off the thing at intervals for 2-3mo.Once I got down there I noticed they'd gotten in an awful pretty little teal colored 750cc Vulcan.Since it was between me and the 1500 I had to pause an pet it a little.Chopper styled with a little rake to the front wheel but not so much as to cause turning problems.High backrest with lockable cargo compartments behind the passengers seat.Lookin good!Figgered I'd try settin on it an see what it felt like.Ever slide your hand into an old well-used pair of soft leather gloves? It was much like that except without the smell.Controls were all right where it felt like they oughta be except the pegs were further forward than what I was used to.After a bit they felt right too as they let me sit back an enjoy that big cushy seat(happy butt!).After another little bit I came to realize that I'd been in the shop an hour or two and still hadn't made it over to the 1500 so I tore myself loose an went and sat on it.Real nice.Pretty.Comfotable.The controls were a look, reach, and(sometimes)strain proposition as was the ground.Came to realize that it was just a wee bit too big to fit me well.So I went back to MY 750.Just kinda set there, smiled and dreamed a bit.Eventually a feller came over to tell me they were fixin to close an wanted to know if he could help me.Told him sure if he had time to sell me this bike;otherwise would he mind bringin me some coffee in the mornin when he opened up?We haggled a little an I got him to throw in some detatchable saddlebags an mounts an a couplea helmets (likely coulda done better but I'm sure he knew I was gonna buy it even if he didn't throw in anything)cause it was a cash deal.I gave him my check an was lookin for him to give me my key so I could ride it out of the showroom window(was gettin kinda hot up there with the settin sun shinein through it an all)but he just kinda stood there doin this little dance like he need ta go to the bathroom an I figgered that'd be OK as long as he remembered to wash his hands an bring my key back with him.Instead he told me that MY bike hadn't been "preped" or test driven yet.Told him I'd be tickled ta test ride it myself an ta go ahead an "prep"it.Fella went back inta his funny little dance but eventually explained that I was gonna hafta actually get off for them ta "prep" it.This didn't set all that well an I was gonna tell him we'd just do without it but he said that she didn't have a battery, oil,or gas yet and that there was another 750 I could set on til they were done an that they would hurry.Well,it weren't near as pretty as MINE but they really didn't take all that long so I reckon it worked out alright.

Oops....Sorry Sid,just meant ta come on here an tell ya congrats an got a mite carried away.Shaft drive and water cooling are purely wonderful!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Default Hal, I know how you felt

This was the last of the 04s, just sitting there all alone. Black and red two tone. All of the new dirt bikes were laughting at her because she was Last years model, and the kids just walked by her, she was lonely. She needed an "older man" to take care of her. One who would listen when she purred and appreciated the fact that she could growl if so desired. I spent last night going thru the handguns and picking out the one that I will give her to keep. I think I have setteled on the short barreled .44mag. Thats it, the cruiser and the bruiser. Its a match!
