![]() On this date in 1957 the M14 rifle was adopted as the "A" Standard shoulder arm for the U.S. Armed Forces.
The M14 replaced the cal .30 M1 Garand rifle. |

![]() In Basic we had to take that thing apart and put it back togeather blindflolded, Under 30 sec. Shot expert with it.
I was amazed that it was accurate out to the 600 meter targets on the range. Kicked to hard and weighed a little to much for me. Although, it did work all the time, every time. Ron |
