Our House Progress

Well I thought I would bring everyone up to date on our new house. First the good news the outside is done as far as the house goes. But I can't Paint because of the RAIN so it will just have to wait. The inside is done except they moved a wall in the master bedroom two feet the wrong way so I had a bedroom 2 feet smaller and a bathroom that looked like a bowling alley. and they were going to fix that today except My new backhoe has a mind of its own after digging ditchs all day saturday and half of sunday I was back filling over the new water line to the well and the electric to the well and 3 inch pvc pipe so the power company could relocate the old transformer. Well that damn Tractor was working so fast in a Hail storm that it backed up too far and whacked the old transformer with the back hoe attachment. Cool light show followed by alot of people in the neighborhood loosing power while cooking Easter dinner. needless to say the contractor was pissed because no power to use his tools and the Power company was a little irritated with me for blowing up the in ground transformer. But I told them it was used and must have needed replacing anyway. Joan has a way of talking to people, as too get them laughing at a bad situation and she did just that. They the power company was glad no one was hurt and they even laughed at my stupidity and said the new one will be on them because they put the old one in the wrong spot anyway. So I got out of that one because of my wifes gift for gab. power should be back in by the weekend. and that folks is how the house is going....chris

Our home was built in 1938 and Deb and I had a major renovation done while living in it......never again. I feel for you but when it's over....it's worth it. Good luck on the new, and pardon me for this, "digs"!

Yuppers that is why I ain't going to be there this year plus I'm retiring next month if I don't fry myself before then. Your right about never again they are going to half to move me outta of the new place feet first I ain't movin again ever. shoot a whole passal of gremlins done store all their shit in my old house we found stuff un opened from when we moved last time 23 years ago. I'm afraid to open some of the stuff, Maybe I should auction the unopened boxes on E-bay as contents possibe antiques sorce unknown.

Well, excuse approved, even though I don't like it! Movin''s a bitch, no doubt, but a great time to get rid of shit like your talkin' bout. Better you then me...but I can see Deb and I doing it again, one last time, after I retire. If all the building continues in Beaufort, like it is, we're Mississippi bound!

I will not move again from where I live now, I really like the neighborhood, and the surrounding areas. However SN E-3 I would have no qualms about moving back to Bainbridge Island again. I loved Washington while I was stationed at Fort Lewis. Seattle is a great city.

Steve I'm having trouble getting the pictures from my camera to the site but i'm working on it might have them up tommorrow. I'm at work right now and can't play with it .
