This Cancer Earth?

This is not a piece on brotherly love, world peace, the Age of Aquarius, or any other pie in the sky amusement park ride! It is rather dark in scope, devoid of humor and quite factual in nature!

This is a reflection of our eventual and self-administered oblivion at the hands of greed, lies and filth. It is a lament about con jobs, the misreporting of news and the public’s ongoing need to believe in and embrace self-deception. For no prophet of doom, no misologist and no any realist could even begin to make up a story as bazaar as what is taking place right now in today’s world!

Unfortunately, mankind often believes only what it wants to! He has channeled his senses into a narrow band of self-deceptions that excludes anything as meaningless as truth and decency. And in the process, he has created his own little fantasy would. A realm of half-truths, self deceptions, and even outright falsehoods that fit nicely into his daily routine.

The phrases: “It’s Just Good Business, Beat The Other Fellow To The Punch, and All Is Fair In Love and War” have replaced common sense and any vestige of humanity. in far too many cases!

So what do you call an entity that constantly wars against itself, is out to rob his fellow travelers of all that they possesses (including self-respect and freedom), or is “Hell Bent” on absolute control of someone else’s every breath - certainly not a humanitarian or a benefactor of mankind! Nor can such a person be referred to as honest, ethical, or even caring, regardless of what outstanding sub-titles he presents himself with! “For power, for the sake of power alone, is naught but a corrupting factor and a travesty against all of mankind!”

And last but not least, what do you call the domicile of such an individual? You don’t call it “Heaven, Eden, or even a Bastion of Hope!” And he who accepts, nurtures and promotes such a dastardly existence is not a creator of good or an enhancer of truth but rather a canker upon existence that is fast turning this paradise of ours into an incurable cancer! Self-Deception is after all, but the first step into Perdition! And free will, like all such blessings, can also be beaten by some into a double-edged sword that is dripping in, not the milk of human kindness, but rather the blood and destroyed dreams of our fellow beings!
