May I join you?
If you don't mind, I would like to join your distinguished gathering. The name is Rotorwash, I spent nineteen months in the Playground of the Orient as a crewchief on Hueys, the 101 at Phan Thiet in Feb 1967, the Koreans and the 4th ID at Tuy Hoa in Mar 1967, the 1/35th of the 25th ID (later 4th ID) in April and May 1967 at Duc Pho, then some time in the hospital with malaria, then back to Duc Pho until they got tired of me and sent me home in Aug 68. I spent the next six years banging around working on every helicopter the Army had from the OH-6 to the CH-54. Nov 1974 I went to the Special Forces and stayed three years until some stupid parachute landings and a new wife who did no want me jumping anymore allowed me to get out on a medical. Seems that I have chased Frisco all over creation, carried his butt around Duc Pho and then we both lived in Flathead County, Mt.
I must admit I have been lurking on the fringes of this site and have the greatest respect for ya'll. I really enjoyed the stories by James Worth.
Thanks folks.
