Default spring has sprong

Spring is here! Yeah! the suns be out for a whole week and yesterday it got up to 60 degrees here on the old plantation. The river is giving up some beautiful Big Steelhead trout right now. and out side the crocus are blooming and the daffodils are about ready to bloom. I didn't have to prune my roses this year the deer and elk did that for me. I'm slowly coming awake after my winters hibernation. Im almost ready to start plowing up a space for a garden except it would turn into a mud pit so I'll wait a few more weeks. I will rototiller in 15 yard of cow manure. and a 100 lbs of lime before I plant a thing. I'm going to try the impossible this year I will plant some watermellon. just like the ones Doc fred gets. wish me luck. I will plant the garden around the 15th of april

No boinging here yet but the crocuses are blooming. It is my daughter cora's birthday and they always bloom by then I call them Coras. I am gonna do the garden too this year. It has been a while and I am craving that garden cuisine. I tend to forget about meat when the garden is in. Chris, there are some early melons that would probbly do well there: Minnesota midget cantalopes are very early and good. Yellow doll or sugar baby watermelons are wonderful and early. Here is my daughter Crocus, er Cora.

Default She sure does...

Isn't that a BLESSING!

Fred, I'll be expecting some of those mountain maters' this year. Want to eat Tennessee Tossed Salad!

Only 72 here today so Deb and I are sitting by the fire. Hoping it will warm up soon! Winter sure isn't over here yet.

Chris, if you get that Watermellon, I'll teach you how to Southern Fry a Chicken to go with it!

Thumbs up Think I will pass....

On a Texas garden this year. Need to do some more reading and get the landscape in order first!

Just finished this years Farmers Almanac, but need to find something a little more specific to my region!

Don't need a gun. Cora just tells them I have PTSD and smiled when I said I'd kill for her. I just smile at them a lot.
